It’s shreddin’ time!
Now is your chance to securely dispose of those pesky, no-longer-needed confidential documents! Once again, we’re partnering with AARP, so the event is open to the public! (Tell all your friends and neighbors!)
Our full-service Community Shred Day will be Saturday, October 14, from 9am to noon. To bring us your documents, load them into the trunk or cargo area of your vehicle. Each vehicle is limited to three containers weighing no more than 25 pounds each. Please prep your papers for shredding by removing all binders. Staples and paper clips are fine. (We can only shred paper at this event. Sorry, no CDs, DVDs, or other materials.) We ask that you stay in your vehicle while our volunteers unload your documents for you. (We’ve got this!)
Look for the shredding truck in Kirkwood Community College Linn County Regional Center’s north parking lot (Lot 2), at 1770 Boyson Road in Hiawatha. Please enter the parking lot via Martha’s Way and exit to Progress Drive. (Just follow our signs!) No registration required. Simply show up, pop your trunk or open the door to your cargo area, and our Linn Area volunteers will do the rest!
