Pay confidently on the go with Samsung Pay!

With the widest acceptance of any mobile payment service, Samsung Pay brings us closer than ever to a world without wallets. It’s secure, easy to set up, and simple to use with your latest Samsung Galaxy device.

On compatible devices, a Samsung Pay shortcut will be preloaded, allowing you to download and install the application.

How does Samsung Pay work?

When you add a card to Samsung Pay, a virtual account number (or token) is created to represent your account information. (To help you manage your cards, the last four digits of the card number will display on the card image in Samsung Pay.)

Tokenization is a method of protecting payment card information by substituting the card’s number with a unique identifier. The process is being used to reduce security risks inherent in the collection and transfer of highly sensitive data between merchants and the card’s payment network.

When you make a purchase, you will need to authenticate the payment by using your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN. Almost immediately, you’ll see a payment confirmation that shows you exactly where a given transaction happened, along with the merchant’s name and number. The merchant will only receive a token, and your payment information will be kept secure.

How will Samsung Pay keep my information secure?

Samsung Pay uses tokenization and authentication methods to secure your information. In addition to the security measures implemented by Samsung Pay, Samsung’s KNOX service constantly monitors suspicious activity within the device to protect from any malicious attacks.

Your credit or debit card number is never saved on your mobile device or the Samsung Pay server. Samsung does not store or have access to the payment information added to Samsung Pay.

Which merchants currently accept Samsung Pay?

Because Samsung Pay utilizes two different technologies, it is accepted at more places than any other mobile payment service, from the grocery store to the coffee shop to your favorite department store. Samsung Pay is focusing on enabling simple and secure in-store payments, and at this time, there is no support for online or in-app purchasing.
