First loans can be scary
Luckily, we have a special loan program just for our members who are 16 – 22. It’s designed to be a fantastic first loan with low interest rates and payments that will work for you.
You can get a loan ($500 or more) for whatever you need: car, scooter, textbooks, etc.
Most places won’t give you a loan without credit history. But how can you establish credit history if you can’t get a loan?
Some banks and credit unions are real stinkers about this. At Linn Area, we understand how it is – and we’re happy to help you get your finances started right, even if you don’t have a credit history (yet).
Learn how a loan works
We want you to have a great financial future so we’ve provided some good info and advice on loans. We’ll even give you a 2GB flash drive for taking the easy little quizlet and applying for your loan.
How do you get a first loan?
You can apply for loans online or at any of our walk-in branches. If you are 17 or under, you’ll need to have a parent or guardian co-sign with you. It’s the law, partner. If you’re 18 or older, you can apply for a loan by yourself.
After you apply, we’ll talk you through how much your loan payments would be and you can decide if this is something you’re ready to do.
You can trust LACU for a great loan and some helpful advice!
